IITD has published the outputs from its networking group discussing the theme of Talent Management which met on three occasions during Q4 in 2014. The document captures some of the ideas, knowledge, practices and challenges shared by 15 participating organisations.

Investment in the development of HiPos is increasing with anecdotal evidence of an acknowledgement by senior managers that a fresh approach is required to developing leaders, one which is more innovative than what was implemented in the past.

A range of issues, common to many organisations, were identified including lack of transparency, absence of metrics, reluctant leaders, and talent attrition.

IITD will now commission a research based paper on International Practices and Perspectives with the objective of creating a framework with key principles for metrics, succession planning and talent management.
